\n | \n Today's Wisdom: \n
| \n\n |
\n | \n |
\n | \n My week so far: Break your glass ceiling\nI’m feeling deep today. \nBeing a human being is funny. \nWe have this built in governor that is always throttling us. \nThe glass ceiling. \nEver present… but breakable. \nOur ego wants to keep us safe. \nIt doesn’t know “good” or “bad”. \nIt knows “familiar” and “unfamiliar”. \nThat’s why even if we are slowly killing ourselves… we don’t change. \nUntil we do. \nBut, in order to change we will have to persist against the internal resistance to stay as we are. \nNot everyone wins that battle. \nIt’s not easy. \nWe become exposed: \n
All designed by our mind to “keep us safe”. \nNow we have a choice: \nGo back into comfort? A death by a thousand paper cuts. \nMove forward into greatness? A death to our old selves. \nEither way it’s going to hurt. \nChoose your pain. \nHow’s your week going? \nWhat I am working on\nIn my personal life: Giving up the safety blanket. \nTo be someone I’ve never been, and to achieve more… I get to let go of my old ways. \n\n \n“ \nWhen I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. \n— 1 Corinthians 13:11 (NIV)\n \nThere is no such thing as “something” for “nothing”. \nTo gain we must give. \nIt comes with the territory… \nI signed up for greatness. \nAin’t no way around it. \nTo be clear - I’m working on letting go of the ways I’ve tripped myself up, and kept myself small. \nAnd, doubling down on the things that make me my best. \nA never ending cycle. \nIn my professional life: Simple is scalable. \nOne of my mentors talks about how when building a business it needs to be stupidly simple. \nPart of being human is trying to complicate everything. Making things more complex than they need to be. \nBut in business, that doesn’t work. \nWhen you grow a business it naturally becomes more complex. \nClients, tools, employees, money, challenges, etc. \nSimple at scale is complex. As a business grows based on simple strategy it will become complex to run. \nComplex at scale is impossible. As a business grows based on complex strategy it will become impossible to run. \nAll that to say, as I build out my brand and communities I am keeping this top of mind: How can I make it so simple? Not only for me, but for my clients. \n
And so on. \nIn my financial life: People grow into the conversations around them. \nI’ve been making an effort to surround myself with people talking about making money. \n
Plus, doing inner work on my beliefs around abundance. \n
We can’t avoid the fact that money is necessary in this world… may as well master it. \nWeekly win and miss\nMy win: Getting back into alignment. \nTaking a “time out” so I can regroup… and get back to kicking ass. \nFeeling damn good again. \nMy miss: Getting out of alignment. \nAfter my challenge I hit a wall. \nI already shared my lesson of being a marathon runner, versus a sprinter: keeping a more steady pace so I can stay in the race. \nMy willpower hasn’t been as high - so I was dragging ass a bit. \nI snoozed my alarm. I smoked some weed. I played some video games. \nRandom side note - in Texas they have coffee shops that sell weed?? Funky experience to say the least. My younger stoner self would be stoked. \nI’m not perfect… but no one ever said I have to be (besides myself lol). \nP.S. From here on out I am going to be even more authentic. I realized trying to posture myself as perfect is dumb... I'm going to share the behind the scenes moving forward even more and publicly document my journey. \n | \n\n |

\n | \n A resource for you: Do you have a vision board?\nThe world is brainwashing us 24/7. \n
On top of that, you were a sponge until you were an adult... soaking up everything in your environment whether good or bad. \nWhat are you doing to brainwash yourself? \nSounds crazy, but I'm serious. \nA better life doesn't happen by accident - it's something you create. \nThe best way to stay aligned, and inspired is to make a vision board. \nIt's a representation of what you want, where you are going, and who you are becoming. \nHere is my template for you to use: \nFor computer click here. \nFor phone click here. \nI recommend you put it as your background on your phone and computer. \nThat way it's always in the back of your mind even if you don't notice. \nDo vision boards work?\nI've been creating a vision board each year since at least 2018. \nIn 2022 I had this image on my vision board: \nMy intention was to run spiritual retreats... but back then I had never been to one, and I had no clue on how I would do that. \nFast forward to 2024: \nI'm running multiple spiritual retreats as a trained breath-work and plant medicine facilitator. \nSafe to say they work! \nYou don't have to know how it will happen, you only have to trust it will happen. \nP.S. We have a few more spots for our March Retreat, if you want details book a call here. \n | \n\n |
\n | \n |
\n | \n Question or answer: How do you stay so motivated?\nI had a client ask me how I stay motivated, and what advice I could offer him so he would stay more motivated. \nHere's what I said: \nIt's not a motivation problem, it's a clarity problem. \nWhen we are connected to where we are going, how we are going to get there, and the reason why... motivation comes easy. \nAnytime you aren't \"feeling motivated\" that means you aren't clear. \nClear on what you want. \nClear on how to get it. \nClear on why you are doing it all in the first place. \nRevisit those things, and I promise you will be motivated. \nIf you don't have clarity - check out The G.S.D. System. It will give you everything you need to stay motivated, and making progress towards your goals. \nReply to this email with a question if you want to be featured on my newsletter and get some 1on1 advice. \n | \n\n |
\n | \n In case you missed it: In Saturdays Issue, I covered how to improve your self talk and where the negative voice comes from. \nYou can read it here. \n | \n\n |
